1920


Nathan Patman emigrates to America from Russia and goes into the meat business with New York Provisions.

1929


After playing fullback at UCLA and earning his degree, Nathan's son, Urban, starts Patman Meat Company.

1942


Patman Meat Company is awarded the contract to supply the Navy during World War II

1957


After graduating Stanford University and completing a tour of duty with the United States Army, Urban's son, Don Patman, joins his father at Patman Meat Company.

1959


Urban becomes President of the National Association of Meat Purveyors.

1961


Urban co-authors the National Association of Meat Purveyors Meat Buyer's Guide.

1970


Urban becomes 'Meat Man of the decade' by receiving the prestigious Black Angus Award.

1970s


During the 1970s, Patman Meats supplies major clients including Sizzler, Bob's Big Boy, McDonald's, Sambo's, Pizza Hut, Carl's Jr., Jack-in the-Box and others

1977


Pat Patman joins the team.

Don Patman is elected as President of the National Association of Meat Purveyors

The Patman family closes its manufacturing company.

1984


Pat Patman continues the family tradition and opens Patman Foods as a traditional food broker focused on proteins.

2001


Patman Meat Group dissolves the traditional broker model and develops a new go-to-market model working collaboratively with the USC Marshall School of Business and Key Food industry veterans.

2010


Patman Meat Group broadens its focus to other food categories beyond proteins.

2016


Patman Meat Group is acquired by new ownership bringing more depth and breadth to the business.

2017


Patman Meat Group rebrands to PMG and relocates corporate headquarters to Irvine, CA. Today - PMG works with Regional, National, and Global Customers in the food industry.
